Darling Rose Oil

C$32.00Price
  • The virtues of the rose - both her gloriously nourishing rosehips and her tonifying rose petals are slowly coaxed from hip & petal into a jojoba oil base. *Real whole vanilla bean* is also added to the oil to offer further anti-oxidant and skin brightening support. This sweetly aromatic oil is light and refreshing, while feeling deeply nourishing. It goes on smooth and absorbs easily.

Jojoba oil is neutral and light and mimics our skins natural sebum. Squalane is a stable fatty acid that mimics Squalene (with an e), which is a naturally occuring lipid produced by our own skin cells. Squalane is powerfully anti-aging; it is highly emollient & reduces water loss from the skin. It is protective against oxidative stress within the skin barrier and can also help to help to boost collagen production. Neither Jojoba oil, nor Squalane will clog pores.

It’s is formulated to have wide ranging topical applications:

    • As your daily go-to face moisturizer.
    • Use it in a jade roller, gua sha, or facial cupping practice.
    • As a pregnant belly oil to nourish the changing skin & prevent stretch marks.
    • For make up removal & cleansing - spritz face with a hydrosol or toner first, apply darling rose oil, then rinse off, reapply a small bit for additional moisture if necessary.

Healing from the grief of a c section

After the birth of my second child came to a c section, I was very disappointed. It persisted for months then escalated and I was eventually diagnosed with PPD. It was 7 months into my postpartum period before I felt I had the capacity to reconnect with my womb space and Darling Rose Oil was a big part of that. I was putting it on my scar and every time I did, it was like a little glimmer of dawn on the horizon. Rubbing it on my scar gave me not only physical healing but spiritual holding when I could not hold myself. I still look at it with thanks and love whenever I pull it from the shelf. My own journey with plants is deepening and Kjelti’s creations show me what it can be. Thank you for putting your loving work into the world.
